"It is unbelievable what Michael can still do," says Luca Badoer, Ferrari's test driver watching in wonder as former F1 champion dominates the tests.

Michael Schumacher showed the best time, clocking 1:21.922. It is really amazing from a driver that has not raced for a whole year.

Michael has proved once again that he is the greatest of the great, still the fastest driver in the world. I think he could win one more title if he decided to come back to Formula One again (though I don't believe this can happen).

The test session took place at Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona yesterday.

While I agree that a comeback by
Michael Schumacher is unlikely, I'm not saying "absolutely." Consider this...Russ Brawn has just joined Team Honda. Remember that Brawn and Schumacher have done well together for years. Plus, at Honda, Schumacher would be under little or no pressure, if that matters to him. At Honda, a single victory by Schumacher (in 2008) would be, I believe, a bigger deal, than another driver's championship, at Ferrari.

Thank you for your comment Dave. I absolutely agree with your point. Quite in the range of possibility.

I wish I could see Michael again on track. But I sort of cannot imagine him racing for a team other than Ferrari :)
