Many people in countries that have hosted a Formula 1 race don't always understand the importance of the event. When the race takes place in your country, it is really a privilege and I believe every country on the Formula 1 calendar must seriously consider keeping this privilege.
As we have already seen, the USA has lost the race. Australia faces the same danger because Albert Park in Melbourne is contracted to host the event until 2010. What will be after 2010 is not very clear. Australian driver Mark Webber has issued a warning to his people to support the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix. Risk of losing it is above the red line and this is why.
According to several suggestions, a new track could be built in a different place. Another possibility is that the race could move interstate. However, Webber says that this decision bears a potential risk of losing the race.
"People need to understand Formula One a bit more." - says Webber and it is difficult not to agree with him.
